Job Overview
The BMW UK Graduate Programme is for graduates and young professionals offering the opportunity to jump-start your career. During this 24 month programme, you will complete five different assignments, where you will work on various strategic and operational projects. These assignments will allow you to gain insight into business processes, strategy, culture, and the BMW Group brands from both a local and global perspective.
The programme at a glance:
•24 month programme covering 5 placements.
•A maximum of 3 placements in the home business.
•Placements away from the home business can be either in the UK or international.
•One of the placements must be in a different Technology.
•Short (2 week) placements in production and a customer facing role.
This Information Technology Graduate Programme is offered at BMW Plant Hams Hall, North Warwickshire.
Key Accountabilities
Information Technology
Work in an IT culture that puts people first.
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be the face of IT to the business departments. Through working closely with the business to understand their processes and requirements, you will shape dynamic IT solutions that will enable them to meet their needs.
You will be required to lead and manage projects of varying scale and type with timescales that are often very demanding and challenging. The nature of premium engine and vehicle production ensures that projects are always varying in order to meet the fast paced and rapidly changing requirements that the business have. Key qualities required of an IT Business Analyst are a positive can do attitude, ability to work under pressure, good stakeholder management and the ability to respond to changing demands.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum requirements include:
• Successfully completed university degree in an IT based subject to a 2:1 standard or higher (Masters degree would be an advantage).
• At least 6 months of relevant practical experience (e.g. internship, training, initial professional experience, voluntary work).
• Passion for the BMW brand and the automotive industry.
• Excellent computer skills and time management skills.
• Excellent command of English (German is an advantage).
• Ability to work and communicate within a team.
• Strong commitment and ability to work independently.
• Some exposure to SAP would be an advantage.
Additional Information
Should your online application be successful, you will be invited to undertake a numerical and verbal online ability test. The next stage will be a telephone interview and the final stage will either be an assessment centre or interview with the hiring manager.
