Finance graduate programme
Our Finance Programme trains graduates to manage the financial future of a FTSE 30 company that has billions of pounds of investment and 20 million customer accounts.
Programme information
Duration: 3 years
Locations: UK-wide
Starting salary: £31,000 plus £3,000 starting bonus
Minimum requirements: Equivalent to BBB at A-levels and a 2:1 degree in any discipline
What does it involve?
Centrica's finance function carries responsibilities across the full breadth of our business activity, providing us with the sound financial advice we need.
Our three-year Finance Graduate Programme comprises three 12-month placements covering a range of financial disciplines and business areas within which Centrica operates. You will be given full financial training and complete an accounting qualification (you can choose ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Opportunities for third-year placements extend into specialist areas including investor relations and M&A. At the end of the programme, you should have the full qualification and experience to build a strong future career in finance.
Throughout the programme you will be supported, both through your studies – with course funding and time off for study – and your placements. However, you will need to be a passionate self-starter with real integrity and the ability to communicate your ideas. Responsibility comes fast so your analytical mind will need to be complemented by outstanding people skills and the flexibility to perform in a fast-paced environment.
